Located at the foot of Backbone Mountain in Pleasant Valley , MD, Backbone Food and Cross Country Ski Farm is a small family farm holding on to the idea that small scale, independent agriculture, stewardship and diversity are not only ideas from the past.  Entering our tenth season as organic growers and teachers we market our products through our CSA (in its 7th year), local farmers markets and local restaurants.

As we enter our 35th year as local rentors of cross country skis and expert lessons we also the believe that winter is fun... so get outside and play!
